Updates and Reminders:
On this page I plan to post important updates to the course, changes in location, and neat facts/ websites, etc. that relate to Sport, Fitness, and Wellness that I hope you will find interesting.
Jan. 7-11, 14-19, 21-25
We will continue to have cardio Monday's and Thursday's and they will include either a run, skip/step circuit or the new Headstrong workout. New workout cards will be introduced in the weight room to spice up your workout and keep you toned. And even though the mats are not in, we will do some yoga over the next few weeks as well.
**Thursday Jan. 24 - We will introduce a Step class!
Dec 10 -21
We will be in the weight room for the majority of the next 2 weeks. Be sure to track you workouts as your tracking sheet will be evaluated. Looking for 5 exercises a day AND 3 sets of 8-15 reps. Be sure to increase your weight each week or two.
Nov. 26- Dec 7
We are in health for the next two weeks. Be sure to bring your health binder and a pen/pencil.
SMART goals and Run Analysis due Tuesday Nov. 27th.
Injury Assignment presentations Dec. 6-7th.
Oct 29 - Nov 2
Back to the gym. We will be in the gym for a skip circuit Monday and Thursday and then the weight room on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
**Reminder: Our 1 mile race is on Monday November 5th. Keep training at home!
October 22
Just a reminder: We have a Anatomy Test on Friday Oct 26th. You will be given a review in class tomorrow. Be sure to start reviewing the skeletal system, muscles of the body, what they do, the movement at our joints, AND the Anatomy PowerPoint.
Note: Will be in health ALL week except Thursday. Be prepared to run on Thursday!
October 12:
We will be in health for the next 2 weeks, however we will still be running on Mondays and Thursdays until we complete our 8 week learn to run program. Dress warm!
Sept 19 - Just a reminder that you must label the muscles of the human body and hand in this worksheet by Monday Sept 24th. See the assignments/handouts link for a scanned picture of the muscular system from your textbook. Tomorrow we are running.
Sept 11 - Today you recieved the weight room rules and safety handout. Click here if you wish to view
it. Your QUIZ is Friday Sept. 14.
Sept 10-14 - We will be outside Monday and Thursday this week. Please dress appropriately. Tues and Thurs. we are in the weight room. Wednesday we are in health.

I hope your first day back went well! Please come see me if you have any questions or concerns about the course. My office door is always open.
Reminder: Be sure to take your course information sheets home to your parents to look at and sign. They are due Monday Sept 10.
