Updates and Reminders:
On this page I plan to post important updates to the course, changes in location, and neat facts/ websites, etc. that relate to Sport, Fitness, and Wellness that I hope you will find interesting.

Reminder Phys-Ed Students
Students are required to change during class because they are expected to sweat, so an appropriate level of hygiene should be maintained.
Kennedy Uniform Update
In order to participate and earn full marks in Phys-Ed Class, the following uniform must be worn:
· Supportive Running shoes with laces
· Yellow OR Grey Kennedy T-shirt
· Navy Kennedy shorts
OR
· Plain Navy or Black track-pants (no logos or stripes etc.)
**Note: In extremely cold temperatures, you may wear a plain black or navy sweatshirt over your gym shirt.
You may NOT wear:
· tights/leggings
· Anything you wore to school
If on a RARE occasion you accidentally forget your uniform, you SHOULD make every effort to get a uniform PRIOR to class. You could:
· Borrow a uniform from a friend
· Get changed into an alternative pair of navy or black shorts AND a yellow or grey t-shirt that you brought from home
· Get to class EARLY and rent a uniform from the teacher for 25¢ an item.
Jan. 7-11
Getting back into shape this week with cardio-dance and circuit training. Don't forget your gym clothes! See uniform rules above!

We are in the Wheelchair Basketball unit this week and Table Tennis next week.
Nov. 27- Dec 7
Don't forget your gym clothes. We are in the Badminton unit for the next two weeks.

Homework: Stress Assignment due Monday Nov. 26 + Mental health test Monday Nov. 26
Nov. 12
Homework: Running Analysis questions and SMART goals due tomorrow.
Nov.12-23
We are in Health. Please meet in the 3rd floor health room. Bring a binder and a pen/pencil.

Race Day tomorrow. Dress appropriately!
Oct. 26
Reminder: the next two weeks we are playing volleyball, completing our fitness testing, and running twice a week. Our one mile race is next week! Be sure to train at home too!
Oct.22
Just a reminder, you have a QUIZ on the muscles of the human body AND what they do on Wed. Oct 24. Be prepared to label all of the ones you learned in class and be familiar with what they do. For example: The bicep bends the elbow! Your diagram has been marked and returned, all you have to do now is STUDY!!! You can also find a diagram of the muscles if you click on the "Assignment/handout" section" under the Gr.11 Phys-Ed link above.
Note: We are in the weight room all week this week except TUESDAY. Tuesday we are continuing our "learn to run" program- 5 minutes of running: 1 minute of walking.
Oct.12
For the next two weeks will be in the weight room, however we will stil be running OUTDOORS on Tuesdays and Fridays so remember to bring warm clothes!
Sept 17-20 and Sept 24-28 - We are beginning our "learn to run" program and will also be in out football unit. Be prepared to be outside. It may be damp and cool, so dress apporpriately.
Sept 10-14 - Be prepared to be outside this week for phsy-ed. Please bring appropriate clothing.
Sept 4:
I hope your first day back went well! Please come see me if you have any questions or concerns about the course. My office door is always open.
Reminder: Be sure to take your course information sheets home to your parents to look at and sign. They are due Monday Sept 10.
